We are a nomadic side, based in and around Leeds but playing cricket throughout Yorkshire and beyond.
During the season we field one team, mostly on Sundays. We do not play league cricket, although some of our players do play for league clubs on other days. Whilst we play every game to win, our first aim is to enjoy our cricket.
We welcome players of all shapes, sizes and talents, whether they want to play one game or twenty games a season.
The Club was established around the start of the last century, although the exact date of its founding remains a mystery. Our centenary celebrations took place in 2002, which was considered to be as suitable as any other year. A newspaper cutting of 1903 reports that the start of a game between The Romany C.C. and The Yorkshire Gentlemen C.C. was delayed for an hour due to the late arrival of the Romany side.
We try to uphold the ideals and traditions on which the Club was founded.
