We have been invited to take part again in a 20/20 competition at the ground of Harrogate Cricket Club on Sunday 13 September 2009.
This follows the inaugral tournament, organised by Simon Corner and Peter Corner of The Druids, in 2008. Last year the other teams involved were The Druids, The Hawks and Leeds Doctors. Each team played two matches, with the winners of the first game playing each other in a final. We await details of the other participants this year.
Last year, we got through our first match against The Druids, to set up a final against Leeds Doctors, which we won by 8 wickets. All in all. it was a thoroughly enjoyable day - and a great credit to The Druids.
Sadly, the old pavilion in the photograph above no longer looks like that, following a fire in 2008.
